Vodafone UK Security is an intelligence-driven, proactive team, working collaboratively with the business to assess cyber threats and drive risk-based decisions.

 

The role of a Cyber Security Specialist is to close security gaps around privileged access and deliver programs platform improvements in alliance with other functions providing operational support. You will contribute to the work of Vodafone’s UK Cyber Defence team by positively influencing and motivating colleagues to strive towards team objectives. You will have an initial understanding of Cyber Security principles and have an ability to apply what you learn with us in operational or programme activities. Most of all, you will be passionate about what you do and strive to start or continue your career in Cyber Security.

 


What will you be doing?

 

  • You will support the management of, and provision of Privilege Access management (PAM) processes in order to protect company assets
  • You will expand your access management knowledge and apply it to secure our IT, networks, products and services
  • You will apply your skills to help deliver programs of security improvements on our PAM platform at pace
  • You will develop, measure, and analyse Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to design and generate metric reports
  • You will communicate fluently orally and in writing, and present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You will facilitate positive collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives
  • You will be a Vodafone Cyber privileged access management champion

Who are we looking for?

 

  • You will have awareness of and desire to understand information security management and cyber security principles
  • You will have a basic understanding of networking concepts and enterprise IT systems including OS (Windows, Mac,*nix) (desirable but not essential)
  • You will have the ability to communicate fluently orally and in writing
  • You will have experience of working in agile and fast paced pressured environments
  • You will have experience dealing with operational issues and system failures and ensured that they are resolved and communicated in an effective and with timeliness
  • You will have experience of devising, visualising and presenting Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • You will have a security related industry accreditations such as ITIL, GIAC, CREST, CISM, CISP (desirable but not essential)
