Business Area: Cyber Security – Crisis Management
All organisations are facing increasingly advanced and damaging crises, including cyber attacks, the scale and complexity of which is unprecedented. The financial, operational and reputational impacts of these can be immediate and significant – or they may be opaque and almost impossible for you to quantify.
It’s never been more important for business leaders to understand the nature of the threats they face and the level of risk they accept. Building and rehearsing a holistic capability to respond to a large scale disruption, such as a cyber attack, is critical for any organisation.
On this three-year programme you’ll dedicate yourself to the Crisis team to build up your knowledge and experience to become a crisis management practitioner, with a focus on cyber crisis
Programme
Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You’ll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their most complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specifically you will work as part of our team supporting clients navigate challenging issues, developing reputation management strategies and supporting them during crises.
In this role, you can expect to perform any of the following client work:
Perform crisis framework reviews to assess an organisation’s end-to-end crisis response framework.
Developing response plans / playbooks and delivering crisis exercises and training.
Developing and delivering end to end cyber crisis exercises
Support clients on their crisis communication preparedness including undertaking reviews, developing plans and running crisis communication exercises
Conducting a post incident review to provide an independent end-to-end evaluation of an organisation’s response to an incident, such as a ransomware attack
You can also expect to support with the following business development activities;
Meet with clients to understand their needs and support senior members of the team in developing client proposals and solution offerings to address them
Contribute to our research and thought leadership to improve the eminence of our practice
What You’ll Gain
The Crisis team will provide you with an introduction to crisis management and cyber security fundamentals through initial training courses during your first few months.
What You’ll Need
You’ll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you’re on course for a 2.1. based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study. The subject of your degree is not important; however, you’ll need to demonstrate a passion for a career in crisis management.
