You’ve got opportunities

You will be providing technical support on complex network security issues – liaising with customer representatives or vendors and directing other support staff where appropriate. This will be done with in a small established team which has the flexibility and empowerment to engage with other BT teams to ensure a quick resolve to issues passed to them by the customer. This will include the support of new and existing products across a range of technologies including Cisco and F5.

Weekly Hours: 37.5 hrs. or 24/7 365 shift role, shift rota 2 days, 2 nights, (4 on 4 off)

You’ll have the following responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Manage incidents and deliver changes on a variety of technologies within a customer’s environment
  • Provide technical/specialist thought leadership and recommendations to support proactive risk management and reactive incident management
  • Manage multiple incidents and bring them to resolve within agreed SLAs
  • Monitor / Update incident tickets and change tickets within SLA
  • Liaise with designers and other SMEs to fault/problem find
  • Lead conference bridges to troubleshoot major/complicated security incidents and issues
  • Deliver and verify the implementation and end to end operation for an aspect of a Security service
  • Providing security advice and consultancy to Lines of Business within BT and external customers
  • Manage the delivery of the security infrastructure and services to provide: identity and trust solutions, managed security services and secure network infrastructure for BT and its customers
  • Supports security compliance relationships with national Government or industry bodies
  • Produce and support Firewall policies, functions and configuration builds to allow implementation of customer projects
  • Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation
  • Provide input to internal & external monthly reports

You might even:

  • Have experience in managing and delivery of customer network solutions
  • A background in data communications
  • Have experience with firewall technologies including Checkpoint, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper and firewall virtualisation (VSX, Contexts)
  • Have experience with F5 devices
  • Accredited or Certified either to CISSP, Cisco CCNA, CCNP or CCSP
  • Accredited or Certified to either Checkpoint CCSA or CCSE
