SENIOR SECURITY OPERATIONS ANALYST

As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s purpose is to support Scotland’s Health. We do this by providing a range of specialised support services which we develop and improve in partnership with our many stakeholders. These include NHS Boards, Scottish Government and other public sector organisations.
We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Information and Cyber Security Team and work with us on developing and engineering our national security platform. You’ll help us detect, triage and respond to security threats using multiple tools like:
- Security Information Event Management (SIEM) systems
- Vulnerability management and scanning tools
- Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Defender ATP, and security dashboards
You’ll also lead on incident handling and communications working with key stakeholders both within NHS Scotland and externally such as CareCERT SOC (NHS England), Local Authorities, Scottish Government and NCSC. You’ll use your experience to provide subject matter expertise advise, direction and leadership to all SBU Directors and their teams.
You should be educated to degree level or have demonstrable academic achievements in the field of information and cyber security with evidence of continuing professional development.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
