As a result of this, we’re currently looking for an Threat and Vulnerability Analyst to join our Cyber Security team on this exciting journey.

Our head office is based in Morley on the outskirts of Leeds, however as part of our continued growth in the IT industry, we recently opened a brand new Tech Hub based in the riverside area of Leeds City Centre overlooking the city skyline and River Aire.

With its own innovation lab, our brand new Tech hub showcases bespoke content on a rotating screen as well as displaying the latest prototypes such as a drone, a VR headset and a smart lock. If you get the chance to visit, the tech Hub offers it’s employees the use of our large ultra-wide monitors to deliver the very best ultra-creative environment.

The Tech Hub also includes a private roof terrace overlooking the canal, as well as space to host external events, workshops and hackathons.

Your purpose (in a nutshell)

Protecting the day to day operation of the company by understanding and monitoring the Cyber Security threats the organisation faces. Maintaining the correct protective, detective and monitoring controls that are in place while having the capability to be part of a Cyber Security incident response team.

You will be accountable for:

  • Responding to alerts from the SOC MSSP and working within the Threat & Vulnerability Operations team to safeguard EVRi’s critical information during extended business hours
  • Ensuring information security threats are identified and assessed, making appropriate recommendations on monitoring and remedial action.
  • Creation of knowledgebase articles and playbooks to create efficiencies in conducting investigations.
  • Supporting Senior Threat & Vulnerability Analysts in providing advice and guidance to stakeholders by producing meaningful reports and data insight.
  • Owning specific measuring and monitoring of Information Security mitigations as directed by the Senior Threat & Vulnerability Analysts, and wider EVRi Cyber Security Team.
  • Gathering metrics and other meaningful reporting data to contribute to regular (monthly and ad hoc) reporting for the Cyber Security team and to senior leadership.
  • Seek opportunities to improve information security standards and policies ensuring they meet current industry guidance.
  • Keeping up to date on the changing Cyber Security threat landscape, and its effect on EVRi people and business operations

Technical & People Skills:

  • Knowledge of platforms used for information security investigation and triage
  • Ability to work in a small and hybrid team (remote and onsite flexibility)

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Security threat analysis incident response ideally within a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
  • Experience responding to information security incidents or conducting investigations
  • An understanding of IT system architectural design and network design
  • Knowledge of the key IT and change management processes
  • Working understanding of Investigation of security breaches and security incident management

Qualifications:

  • Relevant undergraduate degree or similar experience preferred (e.g. computer science, cyber security, engineering, etc.)
